So here I am doing that! So, I've been having trouble writing for a bit but... I have like 141 pages of Kara and it's pretty cooooool. I really hope you dudes are gonna like it when I finally publish it. I think you will. Anyway it should be done pretty soon if I can continue to write. I don't know if anyone even reads my blog posts but I don't really mind. I imagine you will find these after you buy the book on amazon or whatever so that'll work out one way or another and you'll get to see how I was feeling as I wrote. Kara is really... my heart and soul. I say that about a lot of my writing but Kara has gone SO far it has just amazed me! Such a lovely cast of characters we have and a lovely story, too, I think. When I'm feeling very depressed or anxious, though, since my heart and soul tend to be weaker at those times... It's harder for me to write. I hope you understand. Anyway, I'm gonna keep trying like I always do and I'll see you guys next time.

That Second One
Hey, I'm writing on a blog again, meow meow. Oh, that reminds me! I never told you guys that I identify strongly with cats. Particularly black cats. Anyway, Tally here. My writing's been a bit slow the last few days but I'll get back on top of it. It can be difficult sometimes for various reasons, but I keep trying because it is my passion. Mental health, personal problems, life problems, whatever it be I get through it and continue to write because it is me. It is who I am. I'm on page 106(before double spacing) of my aforementioned story, Kara. No! No! Please, hold the applause! It is my hope to self-publish the book on Amazon when it is done and edited and all that. Maybe after that I'll send the queries and manuscripts to whom I can so it can see store shelves as well? That sounds nice, though I'm told that most books these days are sold online.
So, more interesting news! I'll be going to AnthrOhio in late May! I'm excited, it'll be my first convention of any kind. It's a furry convention, and I'll be seeing some cool folks that I previously only knew online! Probably will be doing some swimming in the pool, too. If anyone wants to see me there they can tell me! I haven't showcased my work a ton yet so I'm not sure if that will really be a thing but I want to leave that open.
Speaking of my work, I'd like to sum up my two main projects right now. First off is Kara, of course.
Her story is that of a young woman who lives in San Francisco. She is a Phenogen, which is a human with special abilities. Hers, for instance, is telekinesis which she uses for various purposes, including to actually feel things as though she was touching them herself! Anyway, Kara here leads a double life. She has some bad habits and a past that has made her present emotional state difficult to manage at times. On the other hand, she uses her other ability, transformation, to become a cat under the care of a young man who also happens to be her neighbour.
Next, we have "Lifeboat Newfoundland." Aha! A real title!
This story is about a man in his late teens who lives on a planet far from Earth, his ancestors carried there by a so-called 'Lifeboat' after Earth was doomed to be uninhabitable due to global climate change events(hopefully an alternate future and not one we'll see for ourselves!). The strange thing is that no one seems to remember Earth as a real place. To most people it is only a myth or a fairy-tale. On a world where you can scarcely see the grass under the frost and snow, it's hard to believe that massive fields of vibrant green grass and trees existed light-years away. Our protagonist, Jean Larive, is a variety of human descendant commonly known as a "Tail" which is really self-explanatory. Each of these individuals like him are humanoid, two-legged versions of animals from Earth. Of course not many know that part, really. Jean journeys to find the truth about Earth and any proof of it that might be out there. His journey is interrupted, though, by people who are suffering by the hands of some particularly immoral Humans.
Hope that sounds good to all of you! I'll be back around, see you next time!

My First One
This is my first post on any blog, really. I don't think 'journals' or what have you on MySpace count. Anyway, My name is Tally and I'm a novelist who seeks to make her living that way. I typically write in the area of science fiction and fantasy but love to include some romantic and deep personal elements, like reflection upon societal and interpersonal relationship problems. The novel I'm currently working on most fervently is currently called "Kara" after the main character, though I'm trying to look for something more fitting and descriptive but with just the right level of vagueity. YEP. Totally made that a word. Anyway, folks... welcome. I'll try to post with some regularity here, though I'm not used to things like that. I understand that many writers have their own blogs so this is my thing!
Oh yeah, some information about me! I live in New York City, my native language is English but I've become familiar with Spanish, and somewhat familiar with Russian, German, and Norwegian. Languages are fun and I like to practice making the sounds I hear in them. I like to play video games in my spare time which include the Fallout games, Civilization, Kerbal Space Program, Minecraft, and others! I love science, too! If you read my books you will probably see at the very least speckles of my interest displayed throughout, if not huge blotches. I also am down with left, progressive political ideology. I won't get too specific because that's not really what this is about, nor is it relevant to what this is about, really. Finally I am an "Agnostic Atheist" as a youtuber I know put it. Agnostic is pointing to the fact that you can't ever really know whether there's a god or an afterlife or not, but I'm certainly not opposed to finding certain kinds of heavens I've seen portrayed when I die. Atheist points to my lack of belief in a god or particular deity. I'm just not seeing it and sometimes try to but... yeah. Anyway. Have fun!
